Wednesday 27 November 2013 The Science of Learning Research Centre was officially opened today by the Honourable Ian Walker, Minister for Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts. The opening was attended by dignitaries including Professor Aidan Byrne, CEO of the Australian Research Council, Professor Barry McGaw, Chairman of the SLRC Advisory Board, and distinguished international research and Advisory Board member, Professor Hideaki Koizumi. In a media release by the Australian Research Council, Professor Aidan Byrne, congratulated The University of Queensland on today’s official opening of the Science of Learning Research Centre, which is funded through the ARC’s Special Research Initiatives scheme.
