Dr Caroline Cohrssen’s research focuses on the teaching and learning of mathematics in early childhood. Caroline completed a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) and was the recipient of an Australian Postgraduate Award Industry (APAI) scholarship to complete her PhD. Caroline is a member of the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) academic team at the University of Melbourne. With Dr Frank Niklas, she is investigating the contribution made by a two-part intervention aimed at increasing the quality of parents’ literacy- and numeracy-based interaction with their children, on children’s literacy and mathematical skills in the year prior to school.
