Dr Kate Reid is a developmental psychologist with research interests focusing on the origins of mathematical cognition among young children. She is a Research Fellow in the Teaching, Learning and Transitions research program at the Australian Council for Educational Research. Kate completed her Masters in Psychology and PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2009 undertaking research into mathematical reasoning among preschool children. Her research applied an individual differences perspective to understanding learning processes in the acquisition of early number and measurement concepts
