Dr Sacha DeVelle is a psycholinguist with research interests in the psychology of language and educational assessment. She received her PhD in Linguistics (language processing) from the University of Queensland in 2007, and joined the ACER Perth office in 2012 as Manager and Principal Research Fellow. Dr DeVelle has worked extensively in Latin America, East Africa and the United Kingdom. In 2013 received the UQ Vice Chancellor Equity and Diversity Highly Commended award recognising her contribution to children’s education in Africa.
Research Interests:
Dr DeVelle’s research focuses on the psycholinguistics of language comprehension. Her research with the SLRC will explore how different types of linguistic feedback impact on learning within interactive environments.
