The University of Melbourne
Luke is currently completing a Doctorate of Education at the University of Melbourne investigating how students respond to teacher feedback on performance. Early research suggests that the nature of feedback delivered not only has a significant impact on student performance, but also on student motivation and confidence. In addition to this, data also suggests that learners assign their own meaning to feedback, responding based on their prior learning experiences. In addition to this research focus, Luke is working as an academic in the Masters of Teaching (Secondary) program at the University of Melbourne, and in the Science of Learning Research Centre. Prior to this he spent 15 years as a Secondary school teacher and school leader.
